There are four meetings in Britain on Wednesday, with competitive jumps action from Musselburgh and Wincanton sure to attract the vast majority of the betting activity. The drying ground has significantly reduced field sizes, although watering should mitigate the worst of the exceptionally dry spell of weather. For AW fans there is action from Kempton and Lingfield, with the lights coming on at the Sunbury venue at 5.30pm.

Wincanton 2:40 (UK time)
Paul Nicholls free going sort impressed when flying round Fakenham on his seasonal reappearance, and was surely amiss when well beaten at a short price at Musselburgh last time out. A test of speed on decent spring ground clearly suits ideally, and a repeat of that initial effort should be enough to defy a penalty at Wincanton on Wednesday (with regular rider Harry Cobden booked and the top yard back in terrific form as usual).

Wincanton 3:45 (UK time)
This 8-y-o has been a shade disappointing over fences so far this winter, never landing a blow in a couple of handicaps before returning to form when a close third at Kempton last time out. A more positive ride could see him in a completely different light now, and he has certainly been given a chance by the assessor on the pick of his form in the last couple of years for Neil Mulholland.
Odds: NA
