Wednesday's Horse Racing Tips: Yarmouth, June 12th

Today’s Horse Racing Tips – June 12th
There are five scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with flat fans in for a varied and busy afternoon and evening. They have Hamilton, Kempton (AW), Limerick and Yarmouth to study, with some tough handicaps to try to solve at the Scottish venue (and the top northern yards sure to be well represented in the traditionally strong novice/maiden contests). Jumping fans have Fontwell to study, though the field sizes are typically small for the time of year with the ground riding fast after a drying week.

Today’s Daily Nap
Shaws Phoenix
Yarmouth 2.00 (UK time)
Alice Haynes maiden handicapper ran really well at this track over a mile on her reappearance in April, and she has had valid excuses for two lesser efforts since (deep ground and poorly placed on the all-weather). This represents a big drop down in class back at Yarmouth on Wednesday under Kieran O’Neill, and a positive ride over this seven furlong trip can see her get off the mark at the ninth time of asking.
Odds: 6.00
Today’s Value Angle
Five Winds
Yarmouth 3.00 (UK time)
Jack Jones has a decent record with his sprinters, and his modest maiden filly has quickly become well handicapped after some slightly underwhelming efforts so far this season (probably running herself fit). She showed a lot more when finishing third at Leicester last time out, and this looks a terrific opening against some very opposable Class 6 rivals (with a good pace to aim at and Hector Crouch booked for the ride).
Odds: 4.50
