Queen Mother Champion Chase Tips – Cheltenham 2021

Champion Chase 2021 Tips – Day 2, 15:30

A thrilling spectacle over two miles, racing for a pirze with a long history and one that has produced some memorable finishes up the hill over the years. The 2020 winner Politologue won a race that fell apart last season and will surely be vulnerable to a much younger rival in 2021 as he bids to retain his crown. The hopes of Ireland rest on the shoulders of the very progressive Chacun Pour Soi, and he has been very well backed in the ante-post markets since winning so impressively at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Queen Mother Champion Chase 2021 Betting Tips

Chacun Pour Soi, Queen Mother Champion Chase Tip #1

Willie Mullins progressive chaser has now won 5 from 7 over fences, and impressed when landing hefty market confidence in a Leopardstown Grade 1 Chase over the Christmas period. He was harried at a fast pace there on testing ground, and showed a terrific attitude under pressure to forge clear of Notebook before the last.

Nube Negra, Queen Mother Champion Chase Tip #2

Dan Skelton’s young chaser showed plenty of ability last year in his first season over fences, but he proved a revelation on his seasonal debut at Kempton over Christmas, barely off the bridle to land the Grade 2 Desert Orchid Chase. Most of the attention focussed on the favoured display of the short-priced favourite Altior, but this should not detract from the manner of this hard held victory under Harry Skelton. He has now proven himself on soft ground and reportedly heads straight to the Champion Chase at the festival in March (trainer reports that he is best fresh and will be laid out for the race).

Queen Mother Champion Chase Winners

The highlight of Day 2 at the Festival, with a richi history dataing back to 1959 and top class horses coming to the fore. Memorable winners include Badsworth Boy, Pearlyman, Barnbrook Again, Viking Flagship, Edredon Bleu, Master Minded, Sprinter Sacre and Altior. All racing fans have great memories attached to this 2m Grade 1, and the defending champion Politologue seems sure to be back in a bid to retain his crown in 2021 for Paul Nicholls.
