Glorious Goodwood Day 5 Tips - Race Times & Fixtures

Glorious Goodwood Day 5 Tips for Saturday

The final day of Glorious Goodwood would normally attract a massive crowd to the Sussex downs, but with racing behind closed doors in 2020 very much the new normal it promises to be a much more subdued affair. The Stewards Cup at 3.40pm is one of the big betting heats of the week, with a massive field of very useful sprinters lining up to contest this prestigious prize.

Glorious Goodwood 2020 Day 5 Races

The biggest crowd of the week would usually be gathered for Saturday at Glorious Goodwood, but this year is sure to have a very strange eerie feel, with perhaps just a few picniccers scattered on Trundle Hill overlooking the racecourse. The action on the track will be far from subdued, with huge fields certain for five red hot and competitive handicaps. The highlight of the day betting wise will be The Stewards Cup at 3.40pm, with the bookmakers sure to offer at least 10/1 the field in this unfathomable sprint. Astute punters will have noted any draw bias in the preceding races up the straight, but that might not make matters any easier, with luck in running sure to play a part. In 2019 Charlie Hills Khaadem landed a hefty gamble for the punters, backed down to 4/1 favourite in a field of 27, and justifying that confidence in style under a cool ride from Jim Crowley.
