The EuroCup may be the second-tier basketball competition in Europe, but it does not lack excitement and betting opportunities as you would think. Many do view it as subservient to the EuroLeague if you compare the teams, the sponsors and the money involved.
But when you look at it from a basketball perspective, you will see that there are quality players, teams, and memorable moments happening here as well. What we want to help you is find excellent EuroCup basketball betting opportunities, and this page will serve as our guiding hand for everything you will need wagering-wise.
The EuroCup already has a 20-year-long history behind it. When it comes to the teams earning their spots, it depends on the positioning in the domestic leagues. This means that 20 qualified teams will start the regular season. These teams are divided into two groups, 10 a piece, where each team plays the other two times during this phase.
Six top teams from each group advance to the next phase of the competition. The top two from each group advance to the quarterfinals directly, while the teams positioned from third to sixth will go to the additional round of 16.
The playoff series is played in a best-out-of-three format, as the teams play against each other until the finals. The finals are played in the same format, with the advantage given to the team that had a better position after the Top 16 phase.
The 2025/26 EuroCup basketball season will be played on 30th September, 2025, while the first of the Final best-of-three games will be played on 22nd April, 2026. Hapoel Tel Aviv are the champions from last season, and they have taken their spot in the EuroLeague for this season.
In the 2025–26 BKT EuroCup, a clear pack of frontrunners is already forming, even if the field looks deeper than usual. Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem are at the heart of every favourites discussion; loaded with guards like Jared Harper and Cassius Winston and racking up multiple MVP of the Round performances, they’re widely labelled as genuine title contenders despite a slightly uneven start.
Budućnost VOLI Podgorica sit in that same top tier: a seasoned EuroCup club with size, experience and enough firepower to beat anyone on their night, regularly appearing in statement wins and highlight packages.
Turk Telekom Ankara also look built for a deep run, combining physical defense with efficient scoring, as shown by dominant wins such as their blowout over Niners Chemnitz.
From Spain, BAXI Manresa have forced their way into the favourites conversation by knocking off big names like Hapoel Jerusalem and showing they can close tight games in high-pressure environments.
U-BT Cluj-Napoca are another serious threat, with frontcourt star Dušan Miletić already taking MVP of the Round honours and the team consistently competing at a high level.
Add ambitious projects like the London Lions, backed by strong investment and a growing domestic profile, and you’ve got a EuroCup season where several clubs can realistically dream of lifting the trophy.
Here’s a table with all the teams participating in this year’s EuroCup:
| Group A | Group B |
| Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana | Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse |
| Hapoel Midtown Jerusalem | Budućnost VOLI Podgorica |
| Bahcesehir College Istanbul | Besiktas GAIN Istanbul |
| U-BT Cluj-Napoca | Turk Telekom Ankara |
| Umana Reyer Venice | London Lions |
| Neptunas Klaipeda | Dolomiti Energia Trento |
| Aris Thessaloniki Betsson | ratiopharm Ulm |
| Slask Wroclaw | NINERS Chemnitz |
| BASI Manresa | Lietkabelis Panevezys |
| Veolia Towers Hamburg | Panionios Cosmorama Travel Athens |
The 2025–26 BKT EuroCup is loaded with standout individual talent, and several names are already circling as potential stars of the campaign. Guards Jared Harper and Cassius Winston at Hapoel Jerusalem should drive much of the competition’s elite backcourt play, while versatile bigs like Dusan Miletic at Cluj and Ante Žižić in Turkey bring strong inside scoring and rebounding presence.
Wing scorers such as Anthony Lamb and stretch forwards like Kyle Wiltjer can tilt matchups with floor-spacing and shot creation.
Add rising frontcourt force Kevin Yebo, who’s already putting up MVP-level performances for Niners Chemnitz, and you’ve got a EuroCup season where the “best player” debate could run all year.
Here is a short breakdown of last season’s top performers.
| Season | Regular Season MVP | Finals MVP |
| 2022/23 | Jared Harper (Hapoel Jerusalem) | Johnathan Motley (Hapoel Tel Aviv) |
| 2022/23 | T.J. Shorts (Paris Basketball) | T.J. Shorts (Paris Basketball) |

If we take the past 20 years and analyse them, we come to the conclusion that Valencia Basket is the most successful EuroCup club to date. Unfortunately, they are now playing in the EuroLeague, but they have left one of the biggest stamps on the competition thus far. With four titles and two runner-up placements, they are by far the best team in the EuroCup.
Rytas Vilnius and BC Khimki are the only other clubs that have more than one title, as both teams have two trophies from three finals appearances. As far as countries go, Spain is the most successful one, as the ACB league has provided eight winners thus far. They are followed by Russia with five, and then Turkey and Lithuania share the third spot with two trophies apiece.
Here’s a short list of previous EuroCup winners:
