Betting Tips for Basketball Olympics 2024
The US basketball team has won 16 out of 19 Olympic gold medals thus far. If history is not enough to convince you how dominant they are, just check out their roster. The Dream Team may be led by LeBron James and Steph Curry, but thye are stacked at every position.
Challenging them are Serbia, France, Canada, and Spain. Serbia will rely on their two-time NBA MVP and former NBA champion Nikola Jokic to lead them to the gold. On the other hand, France has one of the best frontcourts in the tournament. Rudy Gobert and Victor Wembanyama are two towing big men who are going to make it very hard for anyone who attempts to score in the paint.

The Canadian team is led by Oklahoma’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. But he is not going at it alone, as he has support from Jamal Murray and a full NBA squad. Finally, Spain is always a dangerous opponent and they will rely on veteran power as Rudy Fernandez and Sergio Llull make their last run in the national team.

Basketball Olympics Format
Compared to some previous iterations of the Basketball Olympics game tournament, this one will go through a few changes. There are going to be three groups featuring four teams. The best two teams from each group qualify directly for the elimination ground. At the same time, two more will be added as the best third-ranked teams.
Now, instead of knowing who you are going to go up against. An added draw will be made to make up the quarterfinals. After that, everyone plays a single-game elimination match until the final. The gold medal match will take place on 10. August in the Accor Arena in Paris.
Group Stage
Group A includes Australia, Greece, Canada, and Spain. Right off the bat, you can notice that this is the group of death. Literally, any team has a chance to go through. Canada and Australia are coming with all-NBA rosters, while Greece and Spain are counting on experience.
Next, Group B features France, Germany, Japan, and Brazil. Obviously, France and Germany are the favoured teams to go through. Brazil is going to be in the mix as well, but it would be hard to see them go beyond the Germans and the French.
Finally, Group C includes Serbia, South Sudan, Puerto Rico, and the United States. Serbia and the USA are clear favourites by a mile. They will more likely determine between themselves who qualifies as the number one team from Group C.
