UFC 254 Prediction: Liana Jojua vs. Miranda Maverick

This is a great fight between two very game fighters. We have Liana Jojua making her third UFC appearance and Maverick making her first. Both fighters are strong grapplers with submission wins on their records, however, one of them is already in the UFC. It is well known that UFC debutants don’t tend to do very well in their first UFC fight, but I’m not sure this fight will tell that story this Saturday.

We’re dealing with two fighters that only have 20 combined pro bouts so might be everything in this matchup, and experience is on the Maverick side I feel. Despite having many outings in the Invicta organization, she has had an extensive amateur career consisting of 9 fights. The same can’t be said for Jojua who doesn’t have much amateur experience. A TKO loss to 6-6 Sarah Moras doesn’t exactly add to Jojua’s stock in my book and if you weren’t already sold on Maverick, a 3-inch reach advantage could convince you.
