Houston Astros vs Texas Rangers Same Game Parlay, Opta Stats, Player Props

It’s time for an ALCS Game 7, as the Astros and Rangers have gone the distance in deciding which team reaches the World Series.

Adolis Garcia has made quite a name for himself in this year’s ALCS, including some controversy from being HBP in Game 5 after his celebratory bat-slamming home run trot in an earlier at bat. After striking out four times in Game 6 on Sunday night, Garcia hit a grand slam in the top of the 9th inning that sent the Astros fans to the parking lot early!

After winning yet another game as an underdog in the MLB postseason, the Rangers are now hoping to ride the wave into a chance to win their first World Series title in club history. What does our resident baseball expert Ej Garr have to say about this Game 7 in Houston on Monday night?

Surprise! He isn’t thinking underdog for the first time in a long time, so let’s see if he’s onto something!

  • Houston Astros Moneyline
  • Game Total Over 9.5 Runs

HOUSTON ASTROS VS TEXAS RANGERS SAME GAME PARLAY: GAME 7 ALCS IN HOUSTON

HOUSTON ASTROS TO ADVANCE PAST THE RANGERS

Nate Eovaldi pitched another post-season game in which his team needed to win on Sunday night, and his experience in Boston paid off in a 9 – 2 win for the Rangers to set up this stage. It’s time for a Game 7 in the ALCS, and there isn’t much more exciting than that with so much on the line for two organizations.

No one cares about the recent success in the post-season for Houston, because that experience won’t win this game tonight. Bruce Bochy has his fifth appearance in the World Series in sight, and he sure seemed cool and collected in the post-game interview from the field after the Game 6 win on Sunday night.

The goal is clear, the Rangers have the momentum back and their success on the road has carried them to this point. As a 2.11 underdog again on Sunday night, Texas has been enjoying that role to no end, and it looks like Max Scherzer is being asked to get the Rangers to the next level.

Max had quite a long layoff between starts after not even being on the Rangers roster for the Wildcard and Divisional rounds of the MLB playoffs. If Max was in the mindset that we are accustomed to seeing from him over the years, I would not doubt that Texas would be advancing to the World Series. However, this Max is not that in tune at a time when this is all about your attitude, and I don’t see an over-confident guy right now who puts fear in an opposing lineup.

Scherzer only lasted 4 innings in his start from Game 3, a game that the Astros won en route to winning all three games in Texas before returning home on Sunday. The road teams are now a perfect 6 – 0 in the ALCS, and that means Texas could be in the perfect spot to find a Game 7 win in Houston.

Cristian Javier started Game 3 of the ALCS as did Scherzer, and Javier lasted 5 ⅔ innings in a game the Astros couldn’t afford to lose after going down 0 – 2 in the ACLS. Over his last 16 ⅔ innings pitched dating back to the regular season, Javier has only allowed a total of two earned runs which came in Game 3 to this Astros team.

Bet365 has opened the line at 1.87 for the Astros Moneyline, which means that Texas is yet again slight underdogs on the road. They may have relished that role as I said, but Scherzer is my biggest issue in this spot.

Javier has the home crowd and a team behind him that has a short memory. That means putting past the disappointment of Game 6 and turning your full attention to the last game that matters. It’s a win tonight or pack up the locker room and go home after all of the work that’s gotten both teams here to a Game 7 of the ALCS.

EXPECT THE ASTROS TO SCORE EARLY AND OFTEN

Jose Altuve hit his 26th career post-season homer to win Game 5 for the Astros, and he only trails Manny Ramirez who smashed 29 bombs in MLB history.

If you caught the post-game on Fox after Game 6 with Derek Jeter, Big Papi, and Arod, you heard Papi say that if he was an Astro player he would be sleeping in his spikes tonight. He and Derek agreed that the Astros need to play small ball and not rely on home runs to score, and we know that this team is capable of that.

Since I love it when you read through my entire articles, I am suggesting you add a play on the Houston -1.5 Handicap at 2.55. Houston will not only win this game, but they will also smash out 12 runs on Monday night en route to another World Series appearance! Their team total will also get crushed to pieces so keep that on your mind if you’re looking for extra action for Game 7!

The Over is 4 – 0 – 1 in this series in the last 5 games, so expect one more of those to happen on Monday night. Put the Astros ML in the same-game parlay, and add that Runline to your board for an extra boost to your bankroll.

Also, let me add that the incident between Abreu and Garcia from Game 5 could lead to a suspension for the Astros reliever. MLB has made a statement that they will decide before game time on Monday night if Abreu will be allowed to pitch in Game 7 or not.
