ACB League clash tonight in the Euroleague. The favoured Baskonia who are still in a playoff spot will host the shaken Valencia team. Baskonia managed to gamble away a-20 point lead to Olympiacos last round and are looking for a bounce-back performance. Valencia have been troubled with injuries and will be missing key players tonight as well.

Baskonia are not a fluke as they have shown consistency in the 2nd portion of the season. They are still one of the best offensive teams in the competition, averaging 85.5 points per game while attempting the most threes per game (almost 30) and converting 36% of them on average. Although they’ve been troubled with injuries, their roster was complete before entering the crucial part of the season and they have managed to stay afloat and stay in the playoff race. P. Henry will be out tonight due to a hamstring injury while T. Sedekarskis remains “questionable” due to a muscle sprain.
Valencia have shown some very solid performances and some very weak ones. In the last round, they have managed to lose a 20 point lead to Olympiacos and then eventually lost the game. They are sitting currently on 13-12 record with a declining form (losing the last 2 out of 3 in the Euroleague). They have a lot of injury problems as well since they will be missing K. Alexander and M. Jimenez due to ankle injuries while S. Van Rossom and M. Hermansson are out due to knee injuries.
Baskonia play a lot in transition and they do first-opportunity attacks very often. Meaning they find offensive solutions before the positional play where Valencia excels. The home team’s basketball philosophy is their biggest strength tonight as it counters the way the visitors play.
Both teams are sitting on have a 13-12 record and are competing for a playoff spot. Baskonia have won the first match between these two on the road with a double-digit margin.
Baskonia have been in better form since then whilst the visitors are in worse plus we have already established differences in approach by the coaches and how it should work in Baskonia’s favour. We are taking Vitorian team to take the comfortable victory tonight and continue their hunt pushing Valencia out of the top 8.
Odds as of 1:00 pm March 3rd 2023. Odds may now differ.
