The unstoppable Crvena Zvezda will host Olimpia Milano in Belgrade tonight. Crvena Zvezda have won 6 consecutive Euroleague games under new head coach Dusko Ivanovic whilst the visitors are still fighting to show their true face this season since they have won only 3 games and lost 10. This is far below their standards, and coach Ettore Messina is hoping for his team to turn the corner.

Crvena Zvezda have now won 9 consecutive games under their new head coach. Six of them have come in the Euroleague, which is a record itself after a coaching change during the season. Crvena Zvezda are the best defensive team in the league during this winning stretch, allowing their opponents only 70 points per game. They are playing a very controlled offence with a lot of responsibility, and their superstar backcourt (N. Nedovic and L. Vildoza) has been delivering so far. Crvena Zvezda are letting their opponents shoot only 33% beyond the arc and in this parameter as well they are the best in the league.
Milano is the team that fits Crvena Zvezda because they play on fewer possessions as well, we believe Crvena Zvezda will be able to control the tempo of the game if this is going to be the case. Crvena Zvezda will be missing N. Ivanovic with a rib injury, whilst L. Mitrovic is questionable for tonight.
Olimpia Milano has probably been the biggest disappointment this season so far. Ettore Mesina’s team is sitting dead last in the league standings with 3 wins and 10 losses. Although they have been extremely troubled with injuries, nobody expected them to fare this badly. For Tonight’s game, Milano will be missing S. Shields with a foot injury whilst L. Datome is questionable due to illness.
The moneyline suggests that Crvena Zvezda are 4.5-point favourites tonight, although we see the line closer to 6.5, taking into account all the recent happenings around both organizations. Belgrade is a very hot home court as well, we believe there is no question who will win tonight, only with how big of a margin.
Although most of the games between these 2 teams have been split in the past and we can not spot a clear pattern for betting, the situation with Zvezda’s quality and Milano’s lack of performance gives us hope that we are choosing the correct bet for tonight. We believe the home team will clinch a 6-10 point victory if they properly deliver coach Ivanovic’s ideas.
