Fenerbahce are welcoming their visitors from Belgrade in excellent form, sitting at the top of the Euroleague standings with a 5-1 W/L record. Crvena Zvezda have been showing some signs of life recently but is not expected to shine in Sinan Erden Dome tonight against the experienced team of Dimitris Itoudis.

Making a dream start in every competition they are playing, Fenerbahce’s players are welcoming Crvena Zvezda with smiles on their faces. Not only that they have been performing, but almost their entire team is healthy and fit coming into this clash, with the only exception being N. Bjelica (F) who is still carrying his calf injury.
This will be a simple top versus bottom in the standings comparison, where stats speak for themselves. Fener are averaging 11.8 more points per game compared to Zvezda with 81.8 while dishing 18.5 assists on a nightly basis. Their PIR is ~20 higher on average as well.
Although losing to Barcelona away is nothing unexpected, Fenerbahce’s players were were left with a bitter taste in their mouths and we believe they will not get their foot off the gas until the end. Fener have been very consistent an home, winning all their games at Ülker Sports Arena since the start of the season.
Zvezda have finally woken up, and they are showing some signs of life. Although sitting at a 1-5 W/L record, they have been showing constant incremental improvements in their play.
They will be missing L. Mitrovic (PF, C) due to national team obligations, O. Dobric due to a foot injury and their backup point guard, S. Markovic is listed as ‘Questionable’ for tonight’s game. There is a considerable coaching gap here, and we strongly believe the visitors will not be able to withstand the pressure made by Fener. A handicap line of 9.5 is value in our eyes since Zvezda will be missing so many important players. Coach Itouds will not let his players underestimate their opponent and with the right approach, we firmly believe a line of 14.5 would be much more appropriate.
Fener have won every game against Crvena Zvezda on their home court. The average winning margin for Fener in this matchup (across the last 6 games at home) has been 9.5 points. With their opponents facing a lot of personnel issues, we believe Fener will cover the spread tonight.
