As the WNBA preseason draws to a close, it’s time to take a look at Fever vs Dream Prediction Win Probability and odds. Indiana is priced as a 2.5-point favorite over Atlanta for their matchup on Thursday night, despite finishing with the worst record in the Eastern Conference last season.
The WNBA season is about to get underway, and our Expert Insights are stacked with basketball betting tips. Tipster Sam Cox will have his best bets throughout the campaign.

While the head-to-head record heavily favors the Dream over the last few seasons, this is a new-look Indiana team behind the historically great shooting of Caitlin Clark. Indiana was already a passable offense and should be very hard to stop now.
Atlanta has the length on defense to make this a competitive game, but we fancy Clark and co to grab a confidence-building win in Indianapolis on Thursday night.
Indiana was the center of the WNBA offseason with the arrival of college phenom Caitlin Clark. After starring in March Madness, Clark immediately increases Indiana’s ceiling, and she forms a fearsome tandem with Aliyah Boston.
The 2023 campaign was a lost one for the Fever, but there is optimism about the 2024 season. A playoff berth is a very realistic ambition if Clark is as impactful as a rookie as many expect.
While the Fever lost their first preseason game to the Dallas Wings, there were positive signs with Clark draining five threes, Nalyssa Smith getting to the line 13 times, and Boston grabbing eight rebounds.
A sweep at the hands of the Dallas Wings in the playoffs was a disappointment for the Atlanta Dream. Reaching the postseason was a decent achievement after trading for Allisha Gray, but they have reshaped their roster in the offseason in the hope of being a more complete two-way team.
Tina Charles and Aerial Powers bring experience and useful skillsets to this Dream roster. Improving their offensive firepower should elevate them in 2024 after ranking just ninth in offensive rating last season.
The Dream beat the Mystics by three points in their first preseason game, though Indiana represents a very different challenge.
The Atlanta Dream have a 33-27 all-time regular season record against the Indiana Fever.
Indiana has also gone 3-5 in the postseason against Atlanta.
Indiana has not won a season series against the Dream since 2019. Atlanta has claimed the win in seven of the last nine regular season contests.
