These teams might both be below .500, but that doesn’t stop there being plenty of intrigue when looking at a Fever vs Mystics prediction. Indiana has been playing in front of packed crowds thanks to the presence of Rookie of the Year favorite Caitlin Clark, and they will still be hoping they can mount a playoff push.

Washington is languishing at 5-17 but has claimed three wins in seven games. They will not be a pushover for the Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.

We are backing the Fever to cover the spread against the Mystics on Wednesday night. Washington might have gone 14-7-1 against the spread this year, but they are without three of their top players, and the Fever have markedly improved after the early season schedule saw them start the year with an abysmal record.

Indiana has a positive ATS record. Since May 28th, the Chicago Sky are the only team below .500 to beat them. Washington might have been competitive recently, but the Fever have done a good job at dispatching inferior opposition. A high-powered Indiana offense should be able to win this game by at least seven points.

Indiana Fever News, Injury Report, Schedule: Much-Needed Improvement

After a slow 3-10 start, the Indiana Fever have won six of their last nine games. Their net rating is just +1.9 over that period, but the offense has started to live up to its preseason reputation. There are still too many turnovers, though the efficiency is up.

Caitlin Clark has been inconsistent as a shooter. Indiana is still the fourth-best three-point shooting team in the Association, however. Kelsey Mitchell has been lights out from beyond the arc, which stands them in good stead against a Washington Mystics team that ranks 11th in opponent three-point attempts per game.

Washington Mystics News, Injury Report, Schedule: Missing Key Players

Washington has one win in its last five games. They have underachieved their expected win-loss record to date, though, as they have the eighth-ranked defense in the WNBA. Karlie Samuelson, Brittney Sykes, and Shakira Austin are all big losses for this team. They are simply suffering from a lack of talent this season.

There have been some positive signs of late, however. They are 5-5 over their last 10, and sit middle-of-the-pack in net rating across that period. This is an excellent three-point shooting team. Their ball movement is exceptional, too, as reflected by ranking number one in assist percentage over the last 10 games.

Fever vs Mystics H2H: Fever Hold Historically Edge

The Indiana Fever has won 46 of the 89 regular-season games between the Fever and the Washington Mystics. Indiana has also won all four playoff games, with 2-0 series sweeps in 2009 and 2014.

The Fever has won four of the last six games between these franchises in the regular season. Across 2021 and 2022, the Mystics won six games in a row, which came not long after winning 11 straight against Indiana between 2017 and 2020.
