With the Los Angeles Sparks playing their first home game, and Caitlin Clark appearing in Los Angeles for the first time this season, there is naturally a lot of attention on this game. It has been a tricky start to the campaign for both teams, with Indiana sitting 0-5, and the Sparks going 1-2. Our Sparks vs Fever prediction at 2.20 odds is available below!
Cameron Brink and https://docs.google.com/document/d/19Ex6JlSs_XDVbOK4lFrBbCQ1yRecFWHbrlFuHXiPfTg/edit?usp=sharing are hoping to usher in a new era of Sparks basketball. The two lottery picks are going toe-to-toe with a young Indiana team, and this should be a fun game to watch for the neutrals.
The WNBA campaign is underway, and our Expert Insights are stacked with basketball betting tips. Expert Sam Cox will have his best bets throughout the regular season.

There should be an upbeat atmosphere for the Sparks’ first game at Crypto.com Arena after starting their season in Long Beach. Indiana is a downtrodden team at the moment. While they will eventually pick up a few wins, we don’t understand how they can be favorites for this game when they are coming in with an 0-5 record and an abysmal defensive rating. My Sparks vs Fever prediction is for the Sparks to win!
Losers of their first two games, the Sparks bounced back by beating the Washington Mystics a few days ago. Lexie Brown, Dearica Hamby, and Kia Nurse carried the offense, while rookie sensation Cameron Brink delivered in a big way on the defensive end with four blocks.
Los Angeles projects to be a good defensive team with Brink protecting the paint. They also lead the league in rebounding percentage in an early-season small sample, which should stand them in good stead against a Fever team which ranks 11th in defensive rebounding rate.
Looking after the ball is a key for Los Angeles on Friday night. They have turned the ball over in almost a quarter of their possessions.
Indiana is trending in the right direction with their losing margins decreasing. They are still 0-5, however, and need to turn things around sooner rather than later. Facing a fellow rebuilding team in the Sparks should be a decent opportunity to do just that.
Caitlin Clark looked more like her college self against the Seattle Storm last time out, but she was still held to 37.5% from the field and poor three-point shooting. Their defense is the worst in the league by a huge margin.
The Los Angeles Sparks have a 38-14 record against the Indiana Fever. Los Angeles has won the last four meetings and has not lost a season series to the Fever since 2010.
Of those four recent wins, only one has been by double digits. The Sparks, though, have been especially dominant when playing the Fever in Los Angeles.
