The Shaken Monaco squad is searching for a way to get out of their crisis. Coach S. Obradovic and his team are sitting at the 6th spot with 12 wins, and 7 losses, and are hosting Ettore Messina’s Olimpia Milano, who are dead last in the league standings.

The smallest arena in the Euroleague will be full tonight as Monaco are battling their way out of a crisis. They have managed to lose 3 out of their last 4 games and their playoff spot race is not going according to plan. After a honeymoon period for Monaco, they have started to show their weaknesses recently. Although offensively it looks very good, 82PPG whilst shooting almost 50% from the field, their biggest strength is defence against positional play. They have been very successful in defending slow-paced teams and Milano is one of them.
They are averaging almost 8SPG (2nd) and taking 12.4 (2nd) offensive boards per game. They are very adaptable to game states, as they know how to win games on the low and high numbers of possessions which is their big advantage. For tonight’s game, they won’t be missing anyone as J. Loyd has recovered from injury.
Milano has been the biggest disappointment this season. Until recently we have believed they can turn their season around, but realistically this roster has no synergy and coach Messina is about to make some drastic changes. Olimpia is averaging below 70PPG in the Euroleague which is a fact that says it all. Although they are the slowest-paced team in the league, their efficiency is horrific. They have been battling injuries the whole season and tonight will be no different.
The discrepancy in team chemistry and even quality in tonight’s game is undoubtedly on the home side, we are taking them to cover the handicap and snap their series of bad results.
Milano have lost 5 out of the last 6 games and is a good opponent for Monaco to return their confidence. With the home crowd behind them, they will not be stopping even if they secure a victory earlier. We believe they are in tonight for a smooth cruise and are going to beat the main spread if the game plan gets executed even to a solid degree.
