Two of the WNBA’s best teams matchup on Thursday night, so we’re taking some time to pick out the best New York Liberty vs Atlanta Dream Bet Builder tips. This is the fourth meeting between the two teams this season, with the Liberty winning two of the three previous encounters.
New York remains without Stefanie Dolson and Han Xu. Atlanta has a fully fit roster.

The Dream have gone under this number in their last seven. New York has played out some high-scoring games of late, conceding 80+ against below .500 opposition on multiple occasions, but they are still only average in pace over their last 10 games.
Atlanta loves to push the ball up the floor, but their surge has been powered by an elite defence rather than high-octane offence. Their defensive rating during their 8-2 streak is 5.1 points better than any other team.
Both teams average fewer total points per game than this mark.
Atlanta has covered the spread in 59% of their games. As good as the Liberty have been this season, bookmakers have tended to overestimate them.
The Dream’s surge in recent weeks has been aided by a favourable schedule. Since beating the Sun on 15th June, the Washington Mystics are the only contending team they have beaten. In that period, they have lost to the Liberty, Sun (twice), Wings and Mystics.
Still, the Dream have kept most of those games relatively close. New York has only won one of their last seven games by 10 or more points.
New York has gone over this number more often than not across the last month, and sits second in points per game. Atlanta, however, has given up 86 or fewer points in each of their last nine games, and boasts by far the best defence in the league.
Over that span, the Dream have conceded just 76.6 points per contest. Their opponents are shooting only 40% from the field across the last nine.
The intrigue here is how the Liberty shoot the three. They get up more threes than any other team in the Association, but Atlanta have conceded just 30% from beyond the arc.
