For the first time after his departure, A. Trinchieri will return to Belgrade to play against Partizan. Stark Arena will try again tonight to push the home team over the line, as Partizan have won their last 2 games in the Euroleague against the strongly favoured Turkish teams Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahce.

Partizan will host Bayern in solid form. After a crisis, Partizan have been able to win a few games and seem to be back on the winning path. The home team’s offence (84 PPG) has been supported by a good defence of late, as they’ve allowed an average of 74.5 points against Fenerbahce and Efes – two very good offensive teams. The scoring rate has not been very good at this stage, which is to be expected against such a talented defence, and we expect it to skyrocket tonight.
Ioannis Papapetrou, one of the biggest summer additions to the Euroleague, finally showed signs of life on both ends of the court and added a new dimension to coach Obradovic’s team. For the first time since the beginning of the competition, Partizan have no injury problems and we expect them to show their full potential tonight.
Bayern have also been struggling with injuries since the beginning of the season. Tonight they will have to do without V. Lucic and A. Obst, who both have injured their elbows. Z. M. Sisko (PG) is sitting out for personal reasons. Even coach Trinchieri stated that he is very disappointed with the injury situation, and you can not expect Bayern to play their best game tonight. Bayern are pretty much the worst defensive team in the league, allowing their opponents to score almost 85 points on average and hit 50% from the field.
The moneyline with 1.40 on the home team gives us a clear picture of the quality discrepancy. We believe that the game will end in a blowout because Bayern’s rotation is so shortened and coach Obradovic is very well known for having deep squads that will be able to keep the tempo high for 40 minutes.
