The Indiana Fever begin their season against the Connecticut Sun at Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday. Indiana had the third-worst record in the league last season, while only the Liberty and Aces won more games than the Sun. Still, there’s a lot to consider when looking at our Sun vs Fever prediction.
Indiana is the fifth favorite for the 2024 title for 21.00. Connecticut is fourth at 12.00. Bet365 has the Suns projected to win just three more games than the Fever.

Don’t be put off by the fact Clark went under this line in her two preseason outings. This offense is going to be built around her shooting, and Connecticut has never faced a player with her combination of range and off-the-dribble shot-making.
We are also expecting a high-scoring game in Montville. Connecticut ranked fourth in offense last season. Indiana is going to be a hard team to stop, while their defense is very much a work in progress.
Look for the Fever to play at a much higher pace than they did last season, while Connecticut’s stars should be able to put up plenty of points.
After losing to the New York Liberty in the semi-finals last season, the Connecticut Sun are among the contenders again in 2024. It wasn’t the blockbuster offseason other franchises enjoyed, though re-signing DeWanna Bonner was significant. They also bolstered their backcourt depth by acquiring Tiffany Mitchell and Moriah Jefferson.
Coming off a Coach of the Year campaign, Stephanie White is confident her team can battle with the league’s elite forces once again. The Sun had the second-best defense in the Association last season and should be at least as effective on that end this time around.
The aim for the Fever is to reach the playoffs. All eyes are on Caitlin Clark, who has the potential to transform the entire league. Indiana has been a poor offensive team in recent years, but they are stacked with shooting and shot creation for the 2024 season.
Alongside Clark, Indiana also added Katie Lou Samuelson, who is another impressive long-range shooter. This offense is going to be a lot of fun to watch even against a stern Sun defense, but the question will be whether Indiana can get enough stops to return to the postseason.
The Connecticut Sun have a 51-33 advantage over the Indiana Fever in the regular season. The teams are 4-4 in the playoffs.
Connecticut has won the last eight games against the Fever. Indiana has not won a season series against the Sun since they swept them 4-0 back in 2015.
