We’re over the hump as the week turns to Thursday, and that means the weekend isn’t that far away. Ej is hitting the Pacific time zone for his Thursday night best bet in college hoops, and the road team has his attention in a Pac-12 game.
Oregon will visit the Galen Center to face the struggling USC Trojans, and the line setters have fallen asleep at the wheel by offering the Ducks to win this game by a mere bucket. Let’s see why Ej believes he has another winner lined up for our readers today!

I almost didn’t want to give away my prediction in the title, but what the hell is Oregon doing favoured by only a bucket on Thursday night against USC? Here, let me answer that for you.
The Ducks should be favoured by no less than 5 points when they invade the Galen Center, and I have two words for you to start with.
N’Faly Dante! Riddle me this, Batman!? Who the hell is going to stop N’Faly from picking up 14 rebounds and 20 points tonight? Name him, and if anyone from USC slows him down I will send you all of a glass of wine wherever you live in the entire world if you tell me who can do it!
No one can, because USC has zero inside presence to speak of at all, and the rankings show you as much if you are into the numbers. Ranked 211th in overall rebounding, the Trojans rank 229th on the offensive glass, and that’s where Mr. Dante is going to eat USC alive!
The paint will be dominated by the 6’ 11” senior from Bamako, Mali, and no one is going to stop that from happening for USC. Dante has finally made it back to the court after a long battle with early season injuries, but he has played the last 5 games now, and he just had a 19 & 5 night against Arizona last time out. Granted, it was an 87 – 78 loss for the Ducks, and that is another point I want to make here.
Oregon has lost to Arizona, Colorado, and Utah in Pac-12 play, and when there is shame in only those losses you can let me know about that too! Oregon already handed USC an 82 – 74 defeat back in Eugene, Oregon on December 28, and USC is 2 – 7 in their last nine games including that loss to the Ducks to start that run.
USC is no longer the Trojan program that brings a sense of fear to anyone in the conference, and now they have a 5-game losing slide to try and break with Oregon in town?
I think I will bust out an Austin Powers reference… HOW ABOUT NO!!
Oregon wins this game 82 – 64, and the Trojans are about to get smacked around by N’Faly and company!
