The 17th round of EL will see a clash between Valencia (currently 7W 9L) and Crvena Zvezda (8W 8L). Both teams are in the conversation for the round of the last 8 and this match can decide in which direction these teams will develop. Crvena Zvezda have been facing issues off the court while the home team welcomes them in an excellent mood after defeating Barcelona couple nights ago.

Valencia has shown respectable basketball against the favourites so far in this EL season. They do not shine in any statistical category, but their offence is their bread and butter. On EL they have scored 84 PPG so far this season, while hitting 55% from 2-point range and 36% from behind the arc. Today they will be relying on pace and fast transition basket to expose all the issues Crvena Zvezda has with their shortened rotation.
For today’s game they have a number of problems with injured players: M. Harmansson is out with a knee injury, S. Van Rossom is out due to an ankle injury and V. Claver is “questionable” until further notice.
After a series of amazing results, Crvena Zvezda has shown weakness lately. We believe that they will slow down at this stage of the season, mainly because they are facing many off-field problems. They have been famous for their defence which can be a leading factor tonight as well. We are counting on fatigue of the shortened rotation of the visitors to win our bet.
Newcomers Facundo Campazzo and Achille Polonara will not be able to help the team tonight and are out for the time being, as well as L. Vildosa, who, as it was recently announced, is also injured.
Valencia have won their last 2 home games against Crvena Zvezda with an average margin of 22 points. Shortened rotation of the visitors combined with a long journey to Spain may result in fatigue and blowout at the end. We are betting on Valencia to beat the spread and get in top8 on the table.
