There are 7 meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with the final day of the three-day Brighton Festival sure to be well attended on the seaside (excellent weather forecast to cap a terrific week of racing on the south coast sponsored by Star Sports).
There is also competitive turf action from Haydock, Musselburgh, Newmarket and Tipperary to keep punters and bookmakers busy throughout the afternoon and evening. For NH fans, there is a modest twilight fixture at Wexford to get stuck into, with the action getting underway at 4.45pm.

Sir Oliver
Brighton 2:20 (UK time)
Chris Dwyer’s handicapper has been running with credit in victory and defeat for most of the summer largely on the all-weather, but he is a previous course and distance winner at this tricky undulating track and seems sure to go close here with Silvestre de Sousa an eye catching booking for the yard. He pulled his chance away ridden too prominently at Chelmsford 24 days ago, but should get a strong pace to aim at here on fast turf that suits ideally, and can swoop up the final climb if enjoying any luck in running.

Doolily
Brighton 2:50 (UK time)
Eve Johnson Houghton’s 3-y-o has dropped 17lb in the weights over the last year, cutting little ice under some negative rides over a mile in recent weeks. However, she did catch the eye last time at Brighton in July and had excuses in a better race at Sandown 16 days ago. The slight step back in trip to a stiff seven furlongs should suit ideally, and any market confidence close to the off would be extremely significant for these shrewd and in-form connections.
Odds: NA
