There are 8 meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with the return of the Racing League at Doncaster arguably the highlight. There is a new format for this year, with William Hill sponsoring and the seven competitive handicaps starting at 5.40pm do offer some decent prize money to the selected few.
Elsewhere there is turf action from Brighton, where the Star Sport festival continues on the south coast, and fixtures at Ayr, Leoprardstown, Nottingham, Sandown and Yarmouth to
keep punters very busy through the afternoon and evening. NH fans have the evening card at Sligo to study, with the action getting underway at 5pm.

Brighton 2:20 (UK time)
Marco Botti would not be known for first time out winners, and his 2-y-o colt looked badly in need of his initial experience when finishing a fair third at Yarmouth 41 days ago. He was
slowly away and soon poorly positioned in rear there, running around when asked to close under a considerate ride, but picking up strongly from the furlong pole to finish with running left in the tank behind Liberation Bay. Neil Callan is again booked for the ride, and this stiffer six furlong test should suit ideally with plenty of natural improvement in the tank
as he matures for more racing.

Brighton 3:20 (UK time)
Hughie Morrison’s 3-y-o remains a maiden after six career starts so far, but he has now found his level in handicaps and some better ground is expected to bring about plenty of improvement at Brighton on Thursday. He pulled too hard initially on soft ground at Haydock 33 days ago, doing well in the circumstances to finish fifth behind Nathanial Greene, and a positive ride dropping back can see him get off the mark at the seventh attempt under the promising claimer Benoit de la Sayette.
Odds: NA
