There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with Doncaster, Lingfield (AW), Newbury and Wolverhampton (AW) providing some competitive decent quality flat action to keep bookmakers and punters busy through to the evening. Jumps fans have the season-opener at Cheltenham to study, alongside a competitive card with big fields at Sligo.

Atlanta Brave
Cheltenham 3:20 (UK time)
Kerry Lee does really well with a relatively small team of horses, and her progressive novice hurdler is expected to make a cracking chaser this winter. He is sure to be fully fit and extensively schooled ahead of this seasonal reappearance after 216 days on the sidelines, with decent eased ground to suit ideally (has experience in Irish points before joining this excellent yard). The 5-y-o is a smooth traveller who is best using his high cruising speed from the front, and regular rider Richard Patrick could soon have these rivals on the stretch if getting into a rhythm from the tape.
Odds: NA
Teddy Blue
Cheltenham 1:35 (UK time)
Gary Moore’s progressive handicapper posted a career best effort when second at Haydock in May in the valuable Swinton hurdle, and seems sure to be primed after five months off the track under the excellent conditional jockey Caolin Quinn. He was quite a hard puller in his early days over timber, but is much more settled now after 11 runs in this sphere, and the strong early gallop assured in a big field is sure to set things up ideally for a late charge up the final hill.
Odds: NA
