There are five scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with NH fans in for a busy afternoon of varied jumping. They have Exeter, Sedgefield and Warwick to study on testing ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Devon venue in particular. AW fans have low grade fare to study at Dundalk and Wolverhampton, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm at the Midlands track (and the Class 5/6 handicaps looking especially difficult for punters to solve).

Ten Lengths Tom
Exeter 3.05 (UK time)
Tom Lacey has his team back in top form, with 2 winners in the last 14 days at a 33pc strike rate, and his unexposed novice has optimum conditions to win again at Exeter on Friday. He remains open to plenty more improvement after just two runs over hurdles so far (form of his Uttoxeter win has worked out superbly well), and he can defy his penalty here under the excellent Stan Sheppard.
Odds: NA
Lyrical Genius
Exeter 3.40 (UK time)
Charlie Longsden’s stayer remains a maiden after 8 career starts over fences, but the handicapper has given him a chance after a lesser effort at Doncaster and he can bounce back to his best returning to this track. He ran really well when finishing second over this course and distance in deep ground in December, going with zest from the front under an attacking ride, and a return to those tactics under the excellent Lilly Pinchin can work the oracle on the prevailing soft ground.
Odds: NA
