There are 7 meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with day 4 of Glorious Goodwood very much the highlight. The Group 2 Qatar Stakes at 3.35pm is the best quality race on the card, while there are also four competitive handicaps that will set punters a stern test. Over in Ireland the Galway festival continues with a massive Friday crowd expected, and there is flat racing from Musselburgh, Newmarket, Southwell and Wolverhampton.
For NH fans the Bangor card always provides decent racing, with five handicaps on the card and reasonable field sizes likely on the watered ground.

Goodwood 3:35 (UK time)
Nigel Tinkler’s stable star returned to his very best form at Royal Ascot when finishing a credible third behind the Aussie raider Nature Strip in the Group 1 Kings Stand Stakes, and he should relish a return to Goodwood on Friday (previous course and distance winner on only run at the track). He is well suited by a very run race at this five furlong trip, and the presence of several speedballs should set things up nicely for Rowan Scott to pounce late if seeing any daylight in the closing stages.

Young Fire
Goodwood 3:00 (UK time)
David O’Meara has his team in blustering form at the moment, with 12 winners in the last fortnight at an 18pc strike rate, and his consistent handicapper makes plenty of appeal here at the current price of around 25/1. He has been shaping well in defeat from off the pace this summer, catching the eye on his seasonal debut at York in June, and this huge field of useful performers should suit him ideally (with a strong pace assured and Sean Levey a good first time booking for the yard).
Odds: NA
