There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with competitive handicaps and classy maidens very much the order of the day at Bath, Curragh , Goodwood, Haydock and Pontefract on the flat. NH fans have the evening card at Worcester to study, with a big crowd expected and the action getting underway at 5.40pm.

Bated Breeze
Goodwood 1:50 (UK time)
Eve Johnson Houghton has a really strong team assembled this season, with her juveniles looking especially promising, and this scopey colt is worth siding with after making an eye-catching debut here over five furlongs earlier in the month (finished strongly having been given an educational ride in the early stages). He is likely to leave that bare form well behind now tackling much faster ground conditions back at Goodwood on Friday (upped to six furlongs), and can get off the mark at the second attempt under Tom Queally.
Odds: NA
Come Together
Goodwood 2:25 (UK time)
Ralph Beckett’s 3-y-o progressed really well as a juvenile (winning on his final start on the all-weather at Wolverhampton), and appeals as being one to follow into handicaps this season for his excellent red hot yard. He will appreciate drying ground over the mile trip under Rossa Ryan, and remains with scope to improve after just three career starts so far (likely to appreciate middle distances in the coming summer months).
Odds: NA
