There are eight meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with competitive high quality flat racing dominating from Hamilton, Haydock, Newbury, Newmarket, Nottingham and Pontefract. For jumps fans, there are fixtures at Kilbeggan and Killarney to get studying, with big fields likely at both after ground conditions eased suitably earlier in the week.

David O’Meara has his team in top form right now after a slow few months, and his exposed 8-y-o handicapper is fancied to finally end a losing run stretching all the way back to October 2021 (served notice when a cracking second over 7f at Ayr last time out). The return to 6f on testing ground should suit ideally at a track where he has winning form in the past, and the talented claimer Mark Winn will be looking to weave his way through late off the likely strong early pace.
