There are four scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Monday, with NH fans in for an informative afternoon at Carlisle and Punchestown on soft ground. AW followers have low grade action to study at Lingfield and Southwell, with the lights coming on at 5:30pm at the Midlands venue and the handicaps looking especially trappy for the time of year.

Doyen du Bar
Carlisle 2:02 (UK time)
Pauline Robson’s exciting novice looked an extremely smart prospect when routing his rivals over hurdles at Kelso in January, and is fancied to make a winning chasing debut under regular rider Craig Nichol. He will relish the emphasis on stamina around this stiff track on easy ground, and his opening mark looks extremely generous if he can jump fluently at the first time of asking (against rivals with plenty to prove).
Odds: NA
Royale Nargaux
Carlisle 3:02 (UK time)
Tom Symonds mare has a touch of class at this level of competition, and is fancied to give weight away all round at Carlisle on Monday. She has won 2 from 10 over fences at a useful level so far, and can be excused a lesser effort at Doncaster last time out (ground quick enough and too free in the early stages). Her previous runner-up effort in warm company at Cheltenham sets her apart from these rivals, and Ben Poste can swoop late up the sapping final climb on testing ground.
Odds: NA
