There are four scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Monday, with Pontefract (inspection permitting), Windsor and Wolverhampton (AW) providing some competitive decent quality flat action to keep bookmakers and punters busy through to the evening. Jumps fans have the Plumpton to study, with testing ground assured at the Sussex venue and the action getting underway at 2.15pm.

Plumpton 4:15 (UK time)
Milton Harris maintains a terrific strike rate by placing his horses realistically, and this unexposed handicapper is expected to defy a career high mark at Plumpton. He impressed under a confident ride from rear when readily winning at Warwick in September, and the more testing ground likely here will be no issue at all (one cracking runner-up effort on heavy previously). There is more to come after just seven runs over hurdles, and encouragingly the yard is 5 winners from 20 runners in the last fortnight.
Odds: NA
Star Legend
Plumpton 3:15 (UK time)
James Owen 4-y-o remains a maiden after 9 career starts under Rules, but he has been running well in recent months and has been found a terrific opportunity here (in a very weak looking Class 5 handicap lacking unexposed contenders in the form-book). This sharp left handed track should suit ideally over two miles (with a strong pace likely), and a patient ride from new rider Harry Cobden can see him swoop after the last.
Odds: NA
