Saturday’s ITV action features a cracking card of top class flat racing from Newmarket, with the 2000 Guineas at 3.35pm featuring a very short priced favourite as City of Troy makes his long awaited reappearance. There is also supporting action from Goodwood, where luck in running often plays a huge part on the unique undulations, and Thirsk where the Hunt Cup is likely to be one of the big betting races of the afternoon.

2:55	Newmarket	Beautiful Diamond	Karl Burke comes into this meeting in blistering form, with 13 winners in the last fortnight at a 27pc strike rate. His grey filly created a terrific impression in her juvenile campaign, winning 2 of her 4 starts at a useful level, and she could improve again this summer in a division that is crying out for some new talent.
3:35	Newmarket	City of Troy	Aidan O’Brien’s highly regarded 3-y-o is held in the highest regard at home, and reports of his homework suggest he will be very hard to beat in this prestigious Group 1 prize. He won all three starts as a juvenile, really impressing from the front in the Dewhurst, and another attacking ride from Ryan Moore could soon take these rivals out of their comfort zone from an early stage.
