There are four scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with NH fans in for an informative afternoon. They have Chepstow, Cork and Ludlow to study on largely soft ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Welsh venue (and Evan Williams and Tim Vaughan both sure to be well represented at their local track). AW fans have decent grade action to study at Southwell, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm at the Midlands track and the handicaps looking especially competitive for the time of year.

Lessieres Express
Chepstow 3.15 (UK time)
Jeremy Scott celebrated a fantastic first Cheltenham Festival winner last week, and his progressive staying chaser has been found a terrific opening at Chepstow on Thursday. He shaped very well under a negative ride when third at Wincanton last time out (track too sharp on drying ground), and remains open to plenty more improvement after just five runs over fences so far (with Lorcan Williams likely to be a lot more positive on this occasion).
Odds: 4.0
Richardson
Chepstow 3.50 (UK time)
Belinda Clarke’s consistent handicapper has run well on all three occasions since arriving from John Groucott this winter, and is likely to get a positive ride dropping back down in trip to 2m3f under Lee Edwards. Soft groud suits ideally, and he could be very hard to pass off this flyweight if able to dominate proceedings from the tape in a relatively weak looking Class 5 contest.
Odds: 8.0
