There are 6 meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with brilliant variety across the board and something for all fans of flat racing. Doncaster provides the quality on day two of their St Leger meeting, with the May Hill and the Park Hill Stakes proving some cracking Group 2 action on a very competitive and valuable card. Laytown stages their annual fixture on the beach starting at 4.50pm (with a huge crowd sure to be in attendance), and there are supporting cards at Chelmsford, Chepstow, Epsom and Southwell.

Jim Boyle has an excellent record at this track, and his progressive 3-y-o has optimum conditions to go close here with Ryan Sexton taking off a valuable 5lb in the saddle. He has already won twice this summer (both on undulating tracks in Sandown and Goodwood), and comes into this class 4 contest on the back of a credible third at Newbury when left with plenty of ground to make up from rear.

Epsom 2:15 (UK time)
Tom Cannon is one of the best NH jockeys in the weighing room, and very much one to follow over the sticks this winter, so his booking very much increases the chances of Camilla Poulton’s handicapper in this one off event (confined to jump jockeys only). The 7-y-o had been running really well in defeat until rather tapped for toe on the all-weather at Kempton last time out, and the strong pace here back on turf should really play to his strengths over the 1m4f trip.
Odds: NA
