There are five scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with NH fans in for a busy afternoon. They have Doncaster, Huntingdon and Thurles to study on drying ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Yorkshire venue (and some competitive looking novice hurdles with the top NH yards represented). AW fans have lower grade action to study Lingfield and Newcastle, with the lights coming on at 4.30pm on Tyneside and the handicaps looking especially tricky or the time of year.

Nordic Tiger
Huntingdon 1:40 (UK time)
Harry Derham has landed running in his fledgling training career, and his progressive young hurdler can follow up last week’s impressive Wincanton rout from an unchanged handicap mark (escapes a penalty for winning that condition jockeys contest). He settled a lot better there than previously, readily clear on the bridle turning for home, and the drop back in trip to two miles should be no issue at all with the excellent Alice Stevens back in the saddle.

Huntingdon 2:15 (UK time)
Clive Boultbee-Brooks mare has shaped well twice since arriving in the UK from France this season, and should relish this right-handed track on better ground. She looked a surefire future winner on at Lingfield in November, travelling like one well ahead of her mark despite going off 100/1, and has had excuses since (non stayer over 3m2f and did not settle in muddling small field).
Odds: NA
