Thursday’s Horse Racing Tips: Ludlow, March 2nd

Today’s Horse Racing Tips – March 2nd
There are five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with competitive jumps action from Clonmel, Ludlow and Taunton sure to attract the vast majority of the betting activity. The drying ground has significantly reduced field sizes, although watering should mitigate the worst of the exceptionally dry spell of weather, and conditions are yielding in Ireland. For AW fans there is action from Chelmsford and Newcastle, with the lights coming on at the Essex venue at 5.15pm.

Ludlow 1:50 (UK time)
Dr Richard Newland has emerged from a disappointing winter in recent weeks, and his promising mare is fancied to get off the mark over fences at the third attempt at Ludlow on Thursday. She posted a career best effort when giving the useful Lilith a proper race at Carlisle last time out (travelling strongly but just outstayed up the hill on soft ground), and the emphasis on speed at this sharp track should be a lot more suitable on decent ground..
Odds: NA
Today’s Value Angle
Terresira
Ludlow 2:25 (UK time)
Lucy Wadham’s mare had been running herself into peak form until racing too freely from the front at Huntingdon last time out (strong form for the grade/winner Itchy Feet has run well since), and she seems sure to go well here if ridden with more patience by 10lb claimer Eddie Edge. Decent spring ground would be her optimum, and the slight drop back in trip should suit ideally in a class 3 handicap that lacks unexposed contenders.
Odds: NA
