There are five scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with NH fans in for an informative afternoon. They have Gowran Park, Huntingdon and Wetherby to study on testing ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Yorkshire venue. AW fans have competitive low grade action to study at Newcastle and Southwell, with the lights coming on at 4.15pm on Tyneside and the handicaps looking especially tricky for the time of year (late market moves usually an accurate guide).

Wetherby 2:25 (UK time)
Richard Hobson’s stayer has tanked through all three races so far this winter, looking like a handicapper still ahead of his mark despite failing to quite get home at the business end of some strongly contested races at the top tracks. He has a chance here to dominate from the tape and utilise his high travelling speed/sound jumping, and the testing underfoot conditions are very much in his favour under the excellent Lily Pinchin.
Odds: NA

Wetherby 1:50 (UK time)
Tom Symonds unexposed handicapper took a big step forward when well backed over this course and distance on Boxing Day (running on strongly up the straight to take a clear second from a poor starting position), and can continue his progress to get off the mark over hurdles at the seventh attempt under Jordan Nailor. He is very much a scopey 3m chaser in time, but revels in testing ground, and a much more positive ride is on the cards here.
Odds: NA
