There are 4 meetings in the UK on Friday, with the Scottish National meeting getting underway at Ayr for what is always a high class couple of days jumping north off the border. Newbury also stage an interesting NH fixture, while turf flat fans will welcome Leicester’s opening card of the season. There is also an evening meeting on the AW at Southwell, with the first race underway at 5.05pm.

Fergal O’Brien’s novice had been progressing nicely until upped in class behind Hillcrest at Cheltenham on New Years Day, and can take advantage of this drop back down in class at Newbury on Friday. He impressed when getting off the mark over this course and distance in December, overcoming inexperience to come from well off the pace in smooth style, and remains open to plenty of improvement off a short break after just three career runs over hurdles.
