Some trappy low grade contests are the order of the day, while jumps fans have six handicaps on the card at Market Rasen to get stuck into, and a competitive seven race card at Tramore starting at 2.00pm

Kevin Ryan’s 2-y-o was weak in the market and very much in need of the experience when finishing third at Nottingham on his debut 24 days ago, taking an age to understand what was required but running on well in the closing stages from a long way back. The well backed winner Marbaan looked well above average, and the remote fourth Urban Sprawl has since come out and run a blinder in defeat to frank the form.

Better ground likely now is no issue, and he should get the strong pace up front he requires to swoop late under Paddy Mathers.
