The most informative card is at Salisbury, where the ground is usually in excellent condition and the maidens/novice races usually attract runners from the top Newmarket yards.

Clive Cox now has his team in fantastic form after a slow start to the turf season, with 7 winners from his last 30 winners at a 23pc strike rate, and his speedy colt is fancied to get off the mark at the second time of asking at Salisbury on Wednesday. He showed plenty of ability to finish second on his debut at Nottingham last month, racing freely under restraint and bumping into a smart one in Looking for Lynda. That experience should count for plenty with the yard now flying, and he is expected to make all the running under Liam Keniry.

She has now eased a few pounds down the weights, and this Class 6 represents an excellent opportunity to snap a frustrating spell (now dropping right back down to six furlongs).
