There are seven scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on a very busy Tuesday, with flat fans in for an informative afternoon. They have Brighton, Leicester, Lingfield (AW), Redcar and Tipperary to study on largely good ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the seaside venue (and Tony Carroll sure to be well represented at a track where he has a good record overall). Jumping fans have low grade action to study at Ballinrobe and Bangor, with the handicaps looking especially competitive for the time of year and Donald McCain usually the man to follow at the latter venue.

Brighton 3.15 (UK time)
Jim Boyle’s handicapper has been running himself into peak form in three starts so far this season, and served notice over seven furlongs at this uniquely undulating course last week (just denied on the nod by a Wigham gamble). He steps back up in trip to a mile here under regular rider Pat Cosgrave, and none of these modest rivals have much to recommend them in the formbook.
Odds: 3.50

Brighton 2.15 (UK time)
Ian Williams sprinter would be of the lowest rated horses in the yard, but he is certainly well treated if the cards do fall right and can take advantage of a marked drop in class at Brighton on Tuesday (with Saffie Osborne an excellent booking). He is certainly fit after a busy few months on the all-weather, and caught the eye from off the pace at Catterick last time out, running on late from a poor early position.
Odds: 7.00
