Tuesday’s Horse Racing Tips: Brighton, May 30th

Today’s Horse Racing Tips – May 30th
There are seven meetings in Britain and Ireland on Tuesday, with competitive low level handicaps very much the order of the day at Brighton, Leicester, Nottingham, Lingfield, Redcar and Tipperary on the flat (with drying ground expected and the emphasis very much on speed across the country). NH fans have an evening meeting at Ballinrobe to study, with a huge summer crowd likely for a 6pm start.

Brighton 2:40 (UK time)
Denis Coakley’s lightly raced 4-y-o has run to a fair level in defeat on the AW in recent months, with his runner-up effort at Wolverhampton in March the standout piece of form on offer here (overdid things duelling on a fast pace until tiring at the furlong pole). This Class 5 maiden represents a stark drop down in class, and a more patient ride (by the excellent Rob Hornby) can see him get off the mark at the fifth attempt.

Mister Marvlos
Brighton 3:10 (UK time)
Terry Kent does well with a small team of horses at a modest level of competition, and his consistent handicapper has been found a terrific opening at Brighton on Tuesday. He remains a maiden after 14 career starts so far, but ran a blinder when third over this course and distance earlier in the month (finishing well from a poor position on his first run at this unique track), and will relish these fast ground conditions under Benoit de la Sayette.
