They have Leicester, Lingfield (AW) and Wolverhampton (AW) to study, with some tough handicaps to try to solve at the Midlands venue (and the top Newmarket yards sure to be well represented in the novice/maiden contests). Jumping fans have Southwell to get stuck into, with some small fields likely despite the ground riding easier than you would expect for the time of year.

He shaped well in a muddling small field on handicap debut at Wolverhampton last time out, tapped for pace at a crucial time, and this much more galloping track is likely to unlock plenty of improvement under Kieron Shoemark.

Drying ground here up the long Leicester straight seems sure to suit under Rossa Ryan, and he can pounce late to notch a fourth career victory.
