Jim Goldie’s 5-y-o impressed when landing hefty market support to get off the mark at the 12th attempt at Ayr earlier in the month, always travelling strongly like one well ahead of the game before idling when hitting the front (front two clear in a competitive true run handicap). He has been found a terrific opening to follow up at Musselburgh on Tuesday, with a strong pace to aim at and Paul Mulrennan sure to be weaving his way through fast and late.

David O’Meara has his team in blistering form now after a quiet couple of months, and his consistent handicapper has optimum conditions here to end a frustrating run of placed efforts. He shaped well when third in a huge field at York last time out, and can defy topweight under Danny Tudhope (in a Class 5 that represents a significantly easier task).
