There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with competitive low grade flat racing dominating from Beverley, Ffos Las, Gowran Park, Kempton, Salisbury and Yarmouth. The recent warm and dry weather across the country has seen ground conditions quicken up rapidly, and hopefully the form will now settle down as a result.

Darbucks
Beverley 3:10 (UK time)
Chris Kellett’s tough and battle-hardened handicapper has returned to his best form in recent weeks with some cracking placed efforts at Ayr, and he has been found a terrific opening at Beverley on Wednesday. He was sent off a well backed 6/4f last time out, but could never quite land a blow from off the pace (form well franked since by the first two home), and more positive tactics are likely to be employed here under the excellent Jason Hart.
Odds: NA
Berry Edge
Beverley 4:20 (UK time)
Michael Dods frustrating performer let down backers when only fifth at Ayr last time out (smashed down to 11/4f but did far too much too soon in the lead from halfway), and a more patient ride is on the cards here under Callum Rodriguez. He has only won 1 of his 19 career starts (over this course and distance in 2021), but is now very well treated on the pick of his form (and has a terrific overall record at Beverley where the undulations seem to suit ideally).
Odds: NA
