There are seven scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with flat fans in for a varied and busy afternoon and evening. They have Beverley, Hamilton, Kempton (AW) and Tipperary to study on eased ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Sunbury venue in the evening (and the top Newmarket yards sure to be well represented in the novice/maiden contests). Jumps fans have low grade action to study at Cartmel, Newton Abbot and Wexford with huge summer holiday crowds certain at all three tracks.

Evocative Spark
Beverley 2.10 (UK time)
Darryll Holland’s exposed handicapper caught the eye when well backed at Chester last time out (soon poorly positioned in rear and finished out wide with running left in the tank behind Divine Libra). He remains very well handicapped on the pick of his form in the last year, and the stiff uphill finish at Beverley should suit ideally under regular rider Franny Norton.
Odds: 7.00
Zozimus
Beverley 3.10 (UK time)
This exposed northern handicapper remains a long-standing maiden after 24 career starts on the turf, but he posted a career best effort when second at Newmarket earlier in the month and can strike here from a flyweight. He is now fully a stone lower in the weights than when he first arrived from Ireland, and these shrewd connections very rarely fail to find the winning key to their horses at this modest level of competition.
Odds: 5.00
