There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with Bellewstown, Goodwood, Kempton (AW) and Redcar providing some competitive flat action to keep bookmakers and punters busy through to the evening under lights in Sunbury. Jumping fans have interesting cards at Sligo and Perth to study, with the action getting underway at 2.10pm.

Goodwood 2:30 (UK time)
David O’Meara’s handicapper has been profitable to follow this summer in some valuable prizes, and he shaped a lot better than the bare result sent over to Leopardstown last time out when seventh in a huge field. He returns to calmer waters over a mile at Goodwood on Wednesday (good winner twice on testing ground here in August over 7f), and Jason Watson will be looking to weave his way through late on this talented if quirky 5-y-o.
Odds: NA
Capotes Dream
Goodwood 3:05 (UK time)
Tom Ward’s sprinter had excuses for a lesser effort at Ascot last time out (soon poorly positioned after missing the break), and a repeat of his course and distance effort previously on soft ground would be enough to go very close here. He always needs luck as ridden, dropped out from off the pace and finishing well, but now has the assistance of Sean Levey in the plate and can give weight away all round.
Odds: NA
