Wednesday’s Horse Racing Tips: York, May 17th
Today’s Horse Racing Tips – May 17th
There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with competitive high class action from York sure to attract the vast majority of the betting interest (as the popular Dante meeting begins in front of a capacity crowd). There are modest supporting flat cards at Bath and Cork, while jumping fans have cards at Newton Abbot, Perth and Worcester to get stuck into, with eased ground expected and the emphasis very much on speed around these tight tracks.

Sir Michael Stoute’s filly has always been held in the highest regard at home, thought of as a leading contender for the Epsom Oaks, and she made an impressive an seasonal appearance at Newmarket (well backed 8/11f and found plenty to draw clear from the furlong pole). She now steps right up in class in the Group 3 Musidora at York on Wednesday, but will relish the strong pace expected and her stamina can prove a major asset up the long straight under Richard Kingscote.

Marco Botti has a cracking team assembled this season, and his useful 6-y-o sprinter seems sure to be primed after two sighters this season (with William Buick a very eye-catching jockey booking). He ran with credit in defeat in warm handicaps on several occasions last term, and now features on an attractive mark (with a strong pace to aim at, and the wide open galloping nature of York sure to help him find daylight late for his customary strong finish).
Odds: NA
