New Zealand vs Ireland Prediction & Betting Tips

9 July, 2022
New Zealand

Ireland +15.50 in ordinary time (AH)
Tipped at: 1.73 - 6. Jul 18:29
The second test of Ireland's tour to New Zealand will be played on Saturday 9 July at the Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin, and kick-off is scheduled for 19h05 local time. The weather is irrelevant since "The Glasshouse" as the stadium is referred to locally features a fully enclosed transparent roof and climate control. The first test ended in a whopping 42-19 victory for the All Blacks however, for much of the match Ireland were actually the dominant side and it took an intercept try from Sevu Reece on the half hour mark against the run of play immediately followed by a match ending head knock to Ireland's captain Johnny Sexton to swing the momentum in favour of the hosts who took full advantage and followed with two more converted tries before half time to rack up an unasailable 28-5 lead. The Irish did not lie down though and managed 2 tries in the second half and were unlucky not to finish at least one more, eventually ending the second half 14-14 even with the disruption of having lost Sexton. For this match the Irish will be boosted by having Rob Herring, Harry Byrne, Mack Hansen and Finlay Bealham all available and knowing that Sexton has been cleared to play. The All Blacks are dealing with some injuries and Covid disruptions themselves and although all three players who missed the first test due to Covid has now been cleared to play, one shouldn't expect them to be rushed in as they may still not be 100% even if they do get game time. I am going to bet that this time around the Irish will stay within the handicap, and am going to go for the +15.5 at 1.73 leaving room for one late All Black try even if they are ahead by 8 points towards the end of the game, given how often they do push teams to breaking point in those final minutes, and I don't expect they will point to the sticks when up by more than a converted try already.

New Zealand all blacks are my favorite pick they are gonna take down the ireland national team with no doubt. I see a handicap of -20. 5 from the home team new Zealand. Ireland on the othe hand will be struggling to get points at the end of this match up.

Rugby International matches between New Zealand and Ireland. After thoroughly analysing this match between these two sides, I came up with this pick which I think is the best option available which has more value because New Zealand are clearly the better side here. For this reason, my pick is New Zealand to win with Ah -14.5.
