Norrie vs Zverev Prediction - Wimbledon 2024

The third round of the 2024 Wimbledon tournament will see the home hero Cameron Norrie, go up against the fourth-seeded Alexander Zverev. Zverev has never gone past the fourth round in Wimbledon, but now he will be facing a difficult step to get there in Norrie. Norrie Recent Form

According to the most recent Wimbledon tennis results, Norrie started the tournament with a win against the Argentine Facundo Diaz Acosta. The result shows a sweep of 3-0, but it was much harder for Norrie than he anticipated. He won the first two sets by 7-5 before, getting the last one at 6-3.

In the next round, he went against fellow countryman Jack Draper. Things did not get any easier than as he won the first and the deciding third thanks to a tie-breaker at 7-6.

Zverev Recent Form

Alexander Zverev was very dominant in the first two rounds of Wimbledon. He didn’t drop a set, winning both games by 3-0. He started with a win against Spaniard Roberto Carballés Baena sweeping him off the court (6-2, 6-4, 6-2).

Next came Marcos Giron whom he defeated even quicker. In three sets Zverev won by 6-2, 6-1, 6-4. Giron did manage to show some momentum in the third set. But Zverev’s experience showed when it mattered the most.  

Norrie vs Zverev Head to Head

When it comes to the previous tennis results between the two, Zvereve has never lost to Norrie. They played five games so far and the German tennis player was victorious all five times. The most recent matchup that they played was at the Australian Open, which Zverev won in five sets.

The last game does show that Norrie is not that easy to beat, so Zverev is going to need to put much more effort than he did in the first two rounds.
