Betfred Deposit Options – Debit Card
Customers of Betfred can deposit into their Sportsbook account via their Debit Card. The Debit Card options include:
- Visa Electron
The Betfred minimum deposit for any Debit Card transactions is £5, fantastic for when you don’t have much in the way of available funds but have found a great bet.
If you use either your Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard or Maestro card to deposit into your Betfred account, you will have access to those deposited funds immediately, meaning you can place bets straight away. To make a deposit via this method, follow the steps below:
- Sign in to your Betfred account
- Click on the green Deposit box found in the top right of your screen
- Debit Card is situated at the top of the list of deposit methods, click Deposit
- If it’s your first time of using this method, click Add Card and fill in your card details, otherwise click your card and enter your deposit amount
- Click Confirm and you’re ready to bet straight away!
There are no fees attached to any Debit Card you use, meaning you can play with the entire amount you deposit into your Betfred account,as long as you have the available funds on your Debit card. Be aware, though, that some banks may charge a fee when you add funds into a betting account, so ensure you check with your bank to learn what charges, if any, apply.
When you use a new card through the Add Card function, you will be asked to provide the card number, the full name on the card and the security code/CVC number found on the back of most cards. Make sure that the name on the card matches the name on your Betfred account, or your deposit will not be accepted.
For your security, Betfred use SecureCode, a security system used to add extra protection to your deposits and withdrawals made online. Check with your bank to see if they participate in this scheme.
Betfred Deposit Options – Neteller
For those of you who possess a Neteller online wallet, you will be pleased to learn that Betfred accept Neteller payments as part of their deposit options. The Betfred payment system connects fully with Neteller, meaning your payments via this method are quick and most importantly, safe and secure.
When you first make a Betfred deposit through your Neteller account, you will have to provide your Neteller Account ID and your Authentication Code. This information will be saved within your Betfred account, so all subsequent deposits will be processed more quickly.
You can deposit into your Betfred account via Neteller in English Sterling, Euros and US Dollars. Any payment made with a currency separate to the three listed will be subject to conversion, though remember that you need to identify which of the three currencies stated above you wish to use when you create an account with Betfred.
All deposits made via Neteller are free, as long as you play through your Neteller deposit once. The Betfred minimum deposit for Neteller users is £5. Note that if you make more than one deposit via Neteller in a 24 hour period, you may be subject to a Betfred charge of 2.9%.
Betfred Deposit Options – Skrill
Another popular eWallet, Betfred accept deposits made via your Skrill account. Making deposits via this method is simple – enter your Skrill/Moneybookers email and add the amount you want to transfer into your Betfred betting account.

- English Sterling
- Euro US Dollars
- Japanese Yen
- Hong Kong Dollar
- Swiss Franc
- Australian Dollar
- Swedish Krona

Ensure that the name and email address on your Skrill account matches that of your Betfred account. In the event that the name on your accounts do not match, your deposit will be made void.
The Betfred minimum deposit for Skrill users is £5. There is no fee attached to this method, meaning all of your funds are available to bet with. However, if you make more than one deposit in one day via Skrill, Betfred may impose a charge of 2.9%.
Betfred also offer a Skrill 1-Tap deposit option. The same deposit requirements apply as they do with Skrill, deposits are available instantly and there is no fee attached. To use this method for the first time, head to the deposits section in your Betfred account. Click on Skrill 1-Tap where you will be directed to your Skrill account. Complete the transaction, and your funds will be available immediately. For all subsequent deposits made via Skrill 1-Tap, you won’t have to be redirected to your Skrill account. Instead, your deposit will be processed instantly, meaning you can bet faster!
Betfred Deposit Options – PayPal
PayPal is one of the most commonly used eWallets across the globe, and Betfred accept deposits made via this method. Use your PayPal account to transfer money into your Sportsbook account, and as soon as the payment has been authorised, you are free to start wagering your funds straight away.
To make a deposit via your active PayPal account, head to the Deposits section of your Betfred account and select PayPal from the list of options. The first time you use this method, you need to enter your PayPal account details when prompted and enter your deposit amount. For all subsequent deposits with PayPal, you only need to select the PayPal option and put in the required amount you wish to transfer.
The Betfred minimum deposit for PayPal users is a rather nice and low £5. Like the other online wallets available to use with Betfred, ensure the name and email address on your PayPal account is the same as that of your Betfred account, or your deposit will not be accepted.
The currencies accepted via this method are English Sterling, Euro, US Dollar, Australian Dollar and Danish Krone. You can use New Taiwan Dollar, South Korean Won, Thai Baht, Argentine Peso or Chinese Yuan, but note that deposits made via any of these currencies are subject to a conversion process set by Betfred’s daily rates.
Betfred Deposit Options – Bank Transfer
You can make a deposit into your Betfred account via bank transfer or BACS transfer. The plus point to depositing via BACS is that there is no minimum or maximum withdrawal limits, and no fee attached either. However, for standard bank transfers, the Betfred minimum deposit is £85. Your funds will be available to bet with as soon as your bank authorises the transaction and it has been processed.
Whilst bank transfer can be beneficial to you if you don’t possess any kind of online banking facility, this method lacks the simplicity and ease of the other Betfred deposit options available to you. When you want to make a deposit via bank transfer, you will need to contact the Betfred customer service team first. For Betfred UK users, call 0800 783 9146 or email [email protected]
Whilst Betfred will not charge you for depositing via BACS or standard bank transfer*, your bank may charge you for using this process. Before you deposit, check with your bank to make sure there is no fee applied.
*Betfred will cover all possible bank charges for a standard bank transfer for deposits over £170, as long as those funds remain in your Betfred account for a minimum of 28 days and you play through this deposit at least once. For standard bank transfers of less than £170, your deposit may be subject to a fee of £7.50.
Betfred Deposit Options – Paysafecard
Like depositing via bank transfer, using a paysafecard voucher is great for those of you who don’t have access to online banking. What makes the paysafecard a more viable option for many bettors is that as soon as you enter the details of your voucher, your deposit amount is available immediately.
Many high street shops and outlets provide paysafecard, though the amount you can purchase for can vary. Check with paysafecard.com to see where your nearest outlet is located.
Once you have purchased your paysafecard voucher, head to your Betfred account and click on Manage Deposit And Withdraw Methods. Select paysafecard from the list displayed and enter your voucher number. As soon as the code has been accepted, the funds will be available to you instantly and you are free to bet.
Betfred accept paysafecard vouchers in either English Sterling and Euro. The minimum deposit for Sterling is £5, for Euro it’s €10. The maximum deposit for either Sterling or Euro paysafecard vouchers is £/€250.
Other Betfred Deposit Options
You can also may a deposit into your Betfred.com account via any Betfred high street store. The minimum deposit you need to make if you wish to use this method is £10.

If you are asked to verify your account at this stage, you will have to provide either or all of photos of your bank card (front and back); a copy of your driver’s licence or passport; and a recent copy of your bank statement, usually from within the previous three months.
You may also be asked to verify your details when you attempt to make a withdrawal. This is more likely to happen when you make your first withdrawal, or try to use a withdrawal method you haven’t done previously.
Like with your Betfred deposits, the bookmaker may ask you to provide photo identification, a copy of a recent bank statement and/or photographs of your bank card. For more information on how to withdraw from your Betfred account, head to our dedicated Withdrawals page.
