FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023
The Women’s World Cup 2023 is set to begin on July 20 and will be played in New Zealand and Australia. This is going to be the 9th rendition of the women’s football World Cup, and the first one, which will feature 32 teams. The previous format involved 24 teams competing for the trophy, which was used between 1998 and 2022.
As women’s football is expanding further and further, the tournament is held in two separate countries for the first time. The final is scheduled for August 20 and will be played at the Sydney Olympic Stadium in Australia. There are going to be a total of 64 games to determine the best women’s national team, and we here have all that you need betting-wise to help you out before and during the tournament.
Women’s World Cup Fixtures
The Women’s World Cup 2023 is set to start n 20 July with a game between New Zealand and Norway. It is going to be held at Eden Park, Auckland. There are a total of ten venues, with six stadiums in Australia and four in New Zealand.
According to the Women’s World Cup schedule, there are going to be 64 games played this term which brings a lot of women’s world cup predictions to the table. The format has been expanded from 24 to 32 competing nations, which also means that there are going to be 64 games instead of the 52 that the last tournament had.
The grand final will be played on 20 August, with the new champion being crowned at the Sydney Olympic Stadium in Australia. The US women’s national team enters as the defending champions and the tournament’s biggest favourites as well.
Women’s World Cup Groups
With 32 national teams competing for the Women’s World Cup 2023 trophy, the teams are divided into eight groups of four teams. Each team will play a single game against one other in the group stage, after which the two best teams from each group will advance to the elimination stage. The hosting nations, Australia and New Zealand have qualified directly for the competition and have been immediately placed and separated into Group A and Group B.

Women’s Cup Expectations and Daily Expert Picks
The FIFA World Cup is one of the biggest sports events that attract a lot of tipsters and some of them are our professionals. They will provide tips throughout the tournament and knockout stages but always gamble responsibly even with professional help. The United States women’s team were world champions and they have a great team this year as well. Being in a group with Vietnam, Netherlands, and Portugal shouldn’t be a problem for them to reach the knockout stage.
The US have young and ambitious players like Sophia Smith but Leah Williamson and her British teammates will try to stop them and win the title for the UK for the first time in this format. These two teams probably won’t end up in the FIFA world cup finals but the United States women team isn’t the only favourite here. Germany, Norway, and Japan won titles in the past and they will try to win more.
Betting on a clear favourite isn’t always recommended considering the lower odds but they are dominating tournament by tournament. International women’s teams aren’t as popular as men’s but you can expect daily tips on bettingexpert. Compared to the men’s world cup, we should expect more goals which makes the games more exciting to watch.
You might have issues with watching the games considering that FIFA president Gianni Infantino said he won’t be broadcasting the games in some European countries unless TV stations upgrade their rights offers. The broadcast blackout isn’t a sure thing but you can always follow the scores on bettingexpert while finding the best bets for your bet slip.
Women’s World Cup Winners
The 2023 edition will be the 9th FIFA Womens World Cup tournament. The first-ever tournament was held in 1991 and played in China. The US women’s national team were the original winner and are, up to date, the most successful team to compete in the tournament. In fact, the USA has won four out of nine trophies, and have won the two most recent championships.
The second most successful team is Germany, which won back-to-back titles in 2003 and 2007. While the only other teams that won the competition are Norway (1995) and Japan (2011), having won it once so far.
Women’s World Cup Top Goalscorers
The same as in men’s football, women’s football also has its own top goalscorers. When it comes to the World Cup, Marta is the most lethal finisher, having scored 17 goals in 20 matches played at the World Cup. Brazil has never won the World Cup and had their biggest achievement in 2007 when they reached the final in the competition played in China. But lost to Germany by 2:0.
The second most efficient player at the FIFA Women’s World Cup is Germany’s Birgit Prinz, with 14 goals. She shares that spot with Abby Wambach from the US team, but she has done it in 25 games as opposed to the 24 that Prinz played in.
Here is the list of previous tournament top scorers.

Women’s Football Cup Top Teams 2023
When it comes to the Women’s World Cup odds, the USA women’s national team is by far the biggest favourite. The USA is already the most successful side in history at the World Cup and is currently the best team in the world. They are once again tipped to win the Women’s World Cup 2023 title and could become the first nation to win the competition three times in a row.
Interestingly, the English side is among the top favourites as well. The Three Lions have never won, nor have they reached the Women’s World Cup final in their history. But after their newest head coach, Sarina Wiegman, helped them to win the European competition, they are now tipped to contend for the Women’s World Cup 2023 title.
Germany and Spain are also in the mix. As a two-time World Cup winner and the current runner-up European nation, Germany is up there when it comes to taking home the trophy. They pushed England to their limits in Euro 2022 and only lost to them after extra time.
Spain is another contender and a national team with many quality players. They are also an experienced side, with most of their players playing their football at home in Spanish clubs. It gives them quite good Women’s World Cup odds to at least go deep into the tournament.
